The Coach Christy Scholarship

The Coach Christy Scholarship was established in memory of Coach Christy Quintana.

Coach Christy was a long time Dolphins coach known for her enthusiasm and love of swimming. She was wonderful with all ages of swimmers and helped hundreds of current and past Dolphin swimmers to do their best.

Coach Christy died in a caving accident in August of 1999. The sport of cave exploration was another of Coach Christy's passions and so the insignia of a bat appears on the Dolphin's T -Shirt each year to honor and remember her. There is also a tree planted in her memory in the pit area of the Micki Krebsbach pool, directly East of the slide.
